Today reminded me that growth doesn’t always come from big moments.
Growth often happens in the quiet choices we make to care for ourselves while still chasing our goals. After a full day of work and professional training, I felt the need to slow down, rest, and honor what my body needed. It’s easy to push through, but I’m learning that strength sometimes looks like listening.
Even though I was tired and fighting a slight headache, I still made it to sewing class, and I’m so glad I did. It was a meaningful way to reconnect with others, reflect, and recharge.
I even asked the ladies if they would like to take a selfie with me next week and we could take pictures of the beautiful creations we've made for "Sew'n'tell." We're going to do a little photoshoot to not only show what we've made throughout the year but also show the wonderful community quilting has for us!
Our quilt class is working on reverse stained glass landscapes. I'm currently working on a bug pattern and I think it is just so stinking cute!
Creating something with my hands, especially alongside others, feels like such a quiet form of resilience.
Quilting, like this journey to Regional Canada, continues to remind me that the most meaningful connections are often stitched together with care, intention, and heart.
